Welcome; @Marx and @Blue Huebird, to Anarchy at the All-Star Arcade! As you've read in #rules, it's now time to decide your characters and your personal objectives together. The character theme for this Objective game is video game characters, or characters that come from a video game. Every character theme tends to have a grey area where the character's applicability is hazy - when it comes to these sorts of cases, Superb and I will give judgment on whether it's a valid character or not. Your objectives have to be similar to each other - the intended meaning of this is 'have your objectives tie into each other in some way', but if you want your two objectives to just be coincidentally similar - go ahead! Get creative! Be allies, be enemies, be rivals - you don't necessarily have to work together. Once you've decided, ping either one of us [@Hornet , @Scorpion] with your choices. Remember - we will design the game around your picks. Whatever you pick as an objective, we'll make it possible - and whoever you pick as a character, we'll design stuff for that character. You're going to have until 6PM EDT, July 4th to talk this out and decide what you'll be picking. Feel free to ask us any questions in these channels, if you want to. In case you're having trouble figuring out where to start, you could answer these questions out loud, see if you can get a discussion going on things you both like: 1. What are some of your favourite video game characters? 2. What are some of the games with your favourite music?

just gonna start listing game series that i've played/know alot about and just some characters that i like and just some characteristics of about some of my favorites Metal gear Solid. Stealth game Hitman, another stealth game Persona, rpg series TF2, Any shooters you like, could do something similar Shin megami tensei if you have any characters that are ice related, i could do jack frost from smt Mario series, self explanatory, maybe a spinoff like the rpgs. if anything i would like to be a side character like a goomba or a shyguy Borderlands, shooter game, if anything ill be claptrap or handsome jack Dicey Dungeons, Hades or Slay the spire, rougelike games, could do something related Could maybe do a gta v character if you can think of something Xenoblade series in general, it's an RPG. Yakuza, it's a crime drama but also known for wacky scenarios in side content, character who i would like to play from that is shun akiyama, playable character. a loan shark who gives loans with no interest to see how people's lives change. or goro majima, an important character/playable character. often putting up a crazy persona to others. has an eyepatch. maybe the main series protag kiryu (edited)

Pokemon, could do different characters of same trope. (the bosses of the enemy groups or the champions of regions) Warioware, played all the games, could be a side character like jimmy t. Legend of zelda, if anyone, ganondorf or one of the champions from BOTW Kirby series, mostly everything goes, really liking marx and magolor as idea, like both could be becoming their final boss forms as the objective Dragon ball series or jojo, but those don't count as games really Fire emblem, only have played three houses and awakening (edited)

could do fighting game characters

splatoon, could be someone, probably agent 3, 4 or 8 if anything

okay so, i know like most of these games at a baseline but you don't know some of the stuff ive thrown towards you, so my idea is you to give an idea of what characters you could want to be with an idea of what you want your objective to be and i could try and base it off your idea

my idea was to be marx or magolor and become their transformed versions as my objective

example being: obtain the master crown as magolor

you could just be another character that also has to obtain the master crown

The objectives have to be similar

The characters could be completely unrelated to each other (edited)

im hesitant to say this but i suspect the exact reason why waffles mentioned that its too complicated is because superb and i do have to design everything - mind, we've probably made our own mistakes in setting stuff up here tho lmao

its like a ton of pieces that fit together - i could figure out a way for you to be able to host a vgmgg, sure; but if you weren't already aware, this game is part vgmgg and part objective

following that, it makes sense that we'd have a list prepared to play along with the game. i agree with waffles in that its too complicated - what you'd be doing is either hosting a second vgmgg in the middle of the game, or hijacking the one that's already being played in some fashion; and in both cases we'd have to design around that, and also design around what would happen if you weren't there

this is me speaking entirely from a designer's perspective, though
